The installation UNDERGROUND was created in cooperation with the Witkacy Theater in Zakopane, in response to the invitation of Andrzej Dziuk, the director of the Theater, to work on the performance "THE UNDERGROUND MAN". The performance is an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "Notes from the Underground". Andrzej Dziuk, the director and author of the script, invited not so much a set designer but an artist to work together. The resulting installation is a living organism, changing along with the stage action. The author of the installation takes an active part in the performance, realizing inside it, together with the actors, autonomous artistic activities subordinated to the message of the drama.

Spektakl jest reakcją na skutki społeczne pandemii koronawirusa, jakimi są poczucie wykluczenia, uwięzienia, lęku, ale też jest próbą mierzenia się z nową rzeczywistością, w jakiej znaleźli się twórcy oraz instytucje kultury, w tym teatry. Nowatorska formuła przedstawienia, w którym widz ogląda aktorów jedynie na ekranie komputera, pomimo że aktorzy są tuż obok, zamknięci w niedostępnej z zewnątrz klatce, to dramatyczna diagnoza rzeczywistości drugiej dekady XXI wieku, naznaczonej wszechobecną samotnością.
